In case you didn’t know, I’m a freelance designer from Bali, Indonesia. I am self-taught, and I learned a lot about Photoshop from tutorials on the internet/YouTube. What made me want to learn photo manipulation was that I wanted to make something different from the existing photos that could be found around the web.

When making these edits, I want to pour my imagination into photos and make something truly incredible. The time needed for one photo manipulation cannot be determined; sometimes it can be several hours, and sometimes it can take up to 3-4 days. It really just depends on the difficulty level and also depends on my mood too.

The hardest part of doing photo manipulation is finding new ideas, and by that, I mean ideas that are completely original to me. Sometimes I often experience creative blocks. Usually, if I experience a creativity block, I will take a break or take a vacation to refresh my mind and get some new inspiration.

Throughout all this time, working on all my photo manipulations made me really enjoy what I do. The process to me is pure pleasure because doing photo manipulation is my hobby.
I’d like to give a few tips for those of you who want to start learning photo manipulation. You can actually learn a lot from tutorials that already exist on the internet and more specifically on YouTube. Develop what you have learned in your own style. Make something new and never stop learning.
