Im An Self Taught Artist From Flint Mi Who Animated Scenes From My Own Comicbook.

Most know me by Augkim for my artwork, but you could call me August.

Im an artist form Flint Mi whos built a reputation by working with all the undergound rappers in Flint Mi as well as Detroit, and for creating my own comic completely independently. The comics called "Goon Dock Street Cretins" and is inspired greatly by the world of Flint. A lifestyle most will never understand.

The comic "Goon Dock Street Cretins" at first was just a way to show off basically, more of a portfolio piece. I remember back thru elementary to highschool, my classmates and I would always fantasies about how we'd create a comic together. Well I made it first haha. Its turned into so much more since its initial conception. I can truly say, its the only project Iv ever put 110% into. It only took me 6 months to complete which is extremely fast, especially compared to how comics are normally created, with a 6+ member team working on all different areas.

The problem with comics is there just plain limited. There's so much more to see in this world Iv created. With plans for a cartoon/anime, movie potential, and a amazing video game, it seems I'm stuck in limbo. Its not as easy to just make a video game as it is with a comicbook. That's why I learned animation. Even tho a 30 second vid takes 600 individual drawings Its completely worth it once I push play. Seeing my characters in motion makes it completely worth the investment.

I very recently drove all the way to California by myself to reach new goals and especially to show of the creativity trapped in Flint with its not so positive reputation. So many Talented Artist in Flint that the world dosent even know they need. In fact many of those people Inspired their own charaters in my Comic! Im still workin hard to finish the colored copy of my comic as well as create Animations of each of the main character, so stay tuned! Or help out in anyway you can think of. The first of my animated shorts is a scene from the comic. A fierce battle between Flint and the Jiebao Pride. As shown Flint is savage incarnate and isnt fun to play with. Each short will be a different battle of every member of the Street Cretins showing of each of their individual weapons and fighting styles.
It took alot of work to complete this traditionally animated 30 min short, coming a little over 600 drawings overall. The next will feature LA!

I can take credit for the Cover Art, The Logo design with help from EpikDesigns (One of the best graphic designers in Flint) The Concept art for the world and characters, The Storyboards, The Linework with pencil, The Pen and Ink final draft, The Digital Coloring, and of course the original Story and Script. Overall it took me 6 months to complete the finished black and white copys. At first I was only geting done a page a week, since I was working two jobs as well as college. But once the summer hit I was able to complete a page an a half a Day.

The main thrust of the story is this act of theft. In life you'v got to do what you'v got to do, and the Street Cretins being at the Very Bottom of the totem pole have to make it somehow. They came up with this brilliant idea, "hay lets steal a box from the biggest gang in the Goon Docks, The Jiebao Pride. they wont mind!" As they find out, the box is more valuable than theyr lives and the Jiebao Pride wants it back at any cost.

pronoced /juh ai, bah O/ The Pride is the largest gang in the area. Its not even a competition, its more or less just a fact, and is accepted by most. Its so easy to join the group too. The only requirement is once you enter those doors, you'v got to sell your soul to the gang right then and there. Wealth and and authority await you. Altho, the shamman and right hand man of the Jiebao King, OBSIDIAN, can call upon your soul at anytime, alive or dead!

Benzie plays the bigest role in the story, even tho she has the least screen time. Im trying so hard to hold my tongue and not spoil the story for yall! (thats why I took off the word bubbles) But honestly, Benzies Badass!

I tired my best not to create a true Main Character, but the fans have spoken and they looove ROY hahaha. The story starts off with him and hes a key player throughout. Did I mention hes a robot that just gained consciousness?
