I'm A Photographer That Only Photographs Men With Dreadlocks

Five years ago my sister and I created a blog where we would feature the stories of men who wore dreadlocks. Our roles were very simple: since I was more of the outgoing type, I would contact the gentlemen, do the interviews, and set up the photoshoots and though my sister also handled some of those tasks as well, her main purpose was to photograph them. We grew instantly and everything was going well until my sister and her husband (who is in the military) had to move out of state. I panicked because our budget did not allow for us to hire a photographer every time I wanted to head out to a local event or go out and approach men randomly like we often did. My sister who is a self taught photographer encouraged me to invest in a camera and learn photography on my own and though I had no interest in this before I loved our blog so much I was willing to learn. With the help of youtube and plenty of practice I started to develop basic skills and since had the pleasure of photographing over 100 men!

My sister and her husband moved back to our city and now we both share the responsiblities of doing the photoshoots. Im not going to say Im the best photographer however when I look at my images and everything I done for the blog so far, it shows me that whatever I put my mind to I can definitely make it happen!
