Looking at the general picture, it's hard to pinpoint the theme and the type of the photos that the artist likes to "invade" the most. Among the pictures there's beautiful vistas, interiors, landscapes, casual photos of people, and what appear to be stock images. It shows that the material on which he draws in itself is not as important as the creativity and fresh perspective that he brings. At some points, it's hard to even tell if the photos enhance his cartoons, or vice versa.
Could you guess where Lucas draws his inspiration from? Hint: it's in the pictures. If you haven't figured it out, it's very simple: the artist loves to draw inspiration from everyday life. By removing and altering the context of the images, the artist changes the way these images are perceived and it connects better with the audience, which may find them more amusing and interesting.
