IKEA continues advertising for its new London store in Greenwich on Bugsby's Way. Last week, the furniture store, thanks to its boat, named for the occasion " The Good Sheep IKEA " went to collect more than 20 tons of waste in the stream of Deptford. A good way to attract light in a complicated ecological context. Today, this is another way that the Swedish firm is talking about it, with a new project, called " Wildhomes for Wildlife " in collaboration with the office Mother's London Office.
The project " Wildhomes for Wildlife " consists in the creation of animal houses. To do this, they partnered with local artists who made the homes out of IKEA recyclable furniture. Artists include Hattie Newman , Supermundane and Nathaniel Furman . The design of the houses is original and colorful. " Now all our new neighbors can enjoy a beautiful home. All, even our best friends hairy, plucked and flying. Says IKEA.
IKEA tables, lamps, chairs and other furniture have been transformed into houses for birds, bats and bees. In all, it's 8 custom homes that were made for animals that are very lucky, but also surely very happy to have a new home made just for them.
After an eco-friendly initiative, IKEA is helping animals this time. This is not the first time that the Swedish firm helps animals. Indeed in Catania, Italy, a store of the firm had welcomed stray dogs to protect them from the cold.
