If You're Unsure Of Someone's Gender, How Do You Ask Without Being Rude?

Don’t worry so much about gender! Accept them as a person.

Do you really have to know? you could politely ask which pronouns they prefer? I get people asking all the time varying from polite and curious to straight up demanding to know whether im a boy or a girl and i definitely prefer being asked nicely 😬
