If World Cup Stars Were Supercars

As the competition hots up, World Cup fever is taking hold across the globe. Getting fully into the spirit of things, London based car hire insurance company, iCarhireinsurance, have been taking a new look at analysing player performance in the tournament, by comparing footballers with cars.

iCarhireinsurance has found points for comparison between the two categories to match up players to their motoring equivalents. Speed and acceleration offered the easiest points for assessment, but innovative analysis has also seen the company comparing standing tackle score to braking, and ball control to handling.

The statistics for these comparisons were taken from videogames which offer a large amount of consistent data. FIFA 18 was chosen as the source for footballer data, and Forza Horizon 3 provided the motoring specs. Check out the results below.
