I Write Codes That Visualize Emotions And Stories Of Music

Just like every person on this planet, I love music. I imagine stories and feel things while listening to it. It's a little bit weird, but I am a visual artist that gets inspired by something that is not visual - music. If I have a project that is hard and I don't know what exactly to do with it, I try to find a song that suits it. And guess what! I get inspired and everything is done quick.
Last year, I started playing with creative coding. I like challenges, so this was something new and interesting for me. That is when I decided to try to do a music visualization via creative coding. I wrote a code that analyze volume and frequency of a song and then present those information in an abstract way. The first song that I visualized was "My Favorite Faded Fantasy" by Damien Rice. I made that project for me and I thought that it's not going to be interesting to other people. I was wrong. Everyone that saw my visualization was touched and said that they really liked it. I was so inspired watching so many people being touched by an artwork that is abstract and that tells a story only with colors and basic shapes. I decided to continue with my project and here we are. I made a YouTube channel called MUVIZ where I will be posting my visualizations. Now, I am in a Latin phase so bear with me. There will be a lot of Spanish songs but I promise that I will post all kinds of visualizations. Expect new videos every Thursday on my YouTube channel. (I need to mention that because of the copyright law I can't post everything on my channel without the permission of the artists and record labels. I am trying really hard to contact them but so far I had no success)
Now, let's talk about technology I used to create this. I promise that this is super easy to make. I use a java script library called p5.js. I write codes that analyze volume and frequency and use those information to affect some of the parameters of the visualization such as color, position, opacity... Every visualization is unique because every time the code is started you get different result. So, this videos that I will be posting on YouTube are one of a kind and can never be done like that again. Something that is interesting for me is that these codes can be rewritten so that they don't analyze the volume and frequency of a song but your voice coming from the mic instead. Imagine a concert with my visualizations in the background and the singer painting a picture with his/her voice. That would look incredible.
I have a lot more ideas and plans for this project, but I need your help guys! I would appreciate if you could share this or (if you know someone that is in music business) show this to someone. My dream is to work with musicians in studios and create more things like this. I hope you like it! Contact me via my e-mail, Instagram or YouTube. Wish you all the best!
