On Wildlife Conservation Day, 4th December 2018, I will make 100 elephants, using clay, live on facebook and instagram. Through doing this, I hope to raise awareness of the destruction of the global ivory trade. It's estimated as many as 100 elephants are killed each day for their tusks. Today their are more elephants being poached than are being born.
The finished piece will be on display at the Saatchi from February 28th to March 3rd 2019. During the exhibition I wish to create a visual impact, and use the universal language of craft as a way to engage the public, provoke reaction and raise awareness of our dwindling wildlife.
