I Went "Window Peeping" (With Permission) During The Coronavirus Quarantine

Our town has been on unofficial lockdown since last week. A full community of people, each doing their own part to help slow the spread of this virus amongst the people we know and love. Having been raised in Newfoundland, but now living in the US, the unofficial "drop-in" has always been part of my social structure. Whether it was dropping in on others or having an open door policy at our own home, it's been how I do things--or rather it was, until last week. I put out a simple invitation to people in our town: could I drop by in the evenings between 6:30-8:30 pm and (keeping distance by remaining outside) shoot images of what was happening inside through windows, doors, and back porches? All interested families left a porch light on for me to indicate they wanted to participate and the images below are the start of something now ongoing during these quiet evenings. Though it's cold outside the light and laughter, the calm in the solitude, and the warmth and the love is spilling out from these people and their homes in ways much more beautiful than I could have imagined.
