I visited Wroclaw in Poland and spent a night in a trash room. Yes, you read that right – I paid money to stay in an actual trash room.
This trash room is in “Hart – hostel and art“ hostel. Almost everything is made out of trash: coffee table is actually just an old wooden door with some old keys inside, night table is a barrel, old style hair dryer and cans are used as lamps, unusable bathtub is now a sofa and chairs are made out of melted plastic. But the weirdest thing here is definitely a tampon lamp (luckily unused)! Even walls here have that trash themed colorful wallpapers.
This trash room is designed by bunch of Polish artists: Anastazja Jarodzka, Aleksandra Jarodzka, Bożena Grzyb-Jarodzka, Paweł Jarodzki and Dorian Zapata.
The trash room isn’t the only artistic place in “Hart – hostel and art” hostel. Every room of this hostel has a different style and corridors are decorated with very eye catching and provocative photos. Take a look!
Welcome to the trash room!

Even walls here have trash themed wallpapers: from old bananas to sprats cans...

Cans are used as lamps here

Here's an idea how you can use your old door

Old bathtub is reborn as a sofa here

Who needs fancy fairs when you can melt your old plastic battles and DYI your own chair?

Tampon lamp is the weirdest thing here

Luckily they used unused tampons for this piece of art

Barrels are used as night tables

Corridors are pretty cool too
