About a month ago, I wrote and posted my first blog on Medium titled “Broken”. I’m not a writer and never thought I’d ever publish a blog but felt compelled, very compelled, to share my story, my battle with depression, my battle with me in thinking that depression, my clinical depression and the need to take antidepressants, was a lack of my faith. I was wrong. Very wrong. And I want others to learn from me. Learn from my mistakes. Don’t be like me and don’t let stigma within our society or your faith deter or even prevent you from getting the help you need. So desperately need.
You can still be a Christian and be on antidepressants. God doesn’t want you to suffer. God wants you to be whole.
