I Walked Around The City With No Traffic Lights. Welcome To Tbilisi, Georgia

A few weeks ago I returned from Georgia - a country yet to become trendy in Europe. Right now most people think that Georgia is either in Russia or somewhere near Kazakhstan, of course, if someone has heard of it at all.
That's sad because Georgia is amazing. It's very different to Europe, to be honest, and that's something great (who wants similar countries and cities anyway?). What surprised me a lot is the fact, that I haven't seen any traffic lights in Georgia. Not a single one. Well, I was told that there are traffic lights on various forums, but personally, I haven't seen any and I drove through the entire city on a bus. How do you cross the street in a city without traffic lights? Well, easy! You just start walking across the streets, showing stopping gestures to the cars, and there is a 90% chance that you'll survive the crossing.
Of course, if the avenue is wide enough, there will be an underground passage at some point, so you can get to the other side safely.
Have you seen any other cities without traffic lights?
