I Use The Simplest Of Tools Such As Paint And Photoscape To Make Artwork That Gives Your Brain A Workout!

I am 24 years old living in the small country of Croatia. I have dealt with art whole of my life, but only recently have made it my number one goal in life. Having spent four years in college that would give me a title of a teacher and dropping out when my diploma was as near as possible, I realized that it wasn't what I really wanted to do. Instead, I now study art at Academy of arts in Osijek and have never been happier, not ever!

My hopes are that people recognize art I create as sincere, as something meaningful and as that little something that makes world a better place. Do you know that feeling after reading a good book, or after listening to a profound verse and it just sticks with you? You feel as if you've grown a bit? That is what I would like to do for people, making humankind bit more human.

In the series below are digital artworks I created with Vinyl Master, Paint and Photoscape. Tools themselves could not be simpler and easier for one to use, but I believe it is the final product that counts, you be the judge!

The idea of ​​this work stemmed primarily from the structure of the word "Skyscraper": ''Sky'' and ''To scrape''. So I presented skyscrapers as personalized structures (buttons, glasses, tie etc.) that reach up for the sky, grabbing it with their fingers, aspiring to rise up higher and higher, just like a western man does belonging to a capitalist society, obsessing with ambition, material prosperity, being absolutely immersed in the world of business. He becomes a skyscraper, just like a skyscraper and buildings in which he lives and spends most of his time begin to take on his characteristics.

This work is not meant to encourage traffic accidents, it is actually made up as a metaphor for letting go of the weight that is holding you down (deep rock, shell). Release yourself of that heavy luggage, and off you go down your path, for the sun is shining bright!

This work was created after a thorough deliberation on society and social order. At the very bottom and stretching up to the half of the picture format there are tiny particles representing the poor, the ones dealing with how to send the kids to school and the task of bringing enough food to the table, there is also a middle class not so great in numbers, and situated at the very top are bulky particles representing strongmen, which because of their size (material resources, reputation etc.) will most definitely not sink or sediment at the bottom.

If superego is something that guards ego from growing exponentially, ego being one's picture of oneself, and id the deep subconscious, I envisioned them as a plane, a boat and a submarine.
