As the school year is upon us, I thought I’d share a Facebook post where many of my friends have said “I am totally going to steal that from you." One of the things I tell my children as often as I can is that creativity is everywhere and can be in anything you do…you just have to look for it. The following is a result of my daughter telling me, one day after school "Dad, you cut my sandwich the wrong way," as well as the progression of dialog and sandwich foolery that followed. Quite honestly, I think I enjoyed this as much as she did...probably more...yeah...definitely more.

Day 1: The day after the initial "You cut my sandwich the wrong way." Her response after lunch that day, "It's still wrong. I like it cut diagonal."
Day 2: "It's still not right."
Day 3: "Seriously?!!"
Day 4: "You're doing this on purpose."
Day 5: "Was that supposed to be a lightening bolt?"
Day 6: "Dad, everyone at my table laughs when I open my lunch. They can't wait to see what you're going to do next."
Day 7: "Miranda wants to know if you can do a star for tomorrow."
Day 8: "Miranda fell out of her chair laughing when she saw my sandwich!"
Day 9: "I gave everyone a piece of my sandwich today."
Day 10 (last lunch of the school year): "Did you mean to make that one look like a heart?" Me: "What do you think?"
