I Turned An Old Nintendo Game Into A Harmonica.

After a long night of playing video games, we went to put in an NES game and it didn't work, so my friend did what any of us would do; he took it out and blew into it to make it work. For a split second, my tired brain thought that he was blowing into a harmonica and I expected to hear a tune.
I obviously needed to go to sleep. But I also needed to know if anyone had ever put a Harmonica into a Game Cartridge before... Turns out, nobody had really done it. So I did what anyone would do in that situation; I had a friend help me make one.
I walked into his shop of nerdy delights with a harmonica and broken NES game in hand. and asked him to put the 2 together and 'Make it a thing'. He had a little smile on his face, and said 'I'll see what I can do' and we left it at that. About a week later, I get a video message on instagram of the very first Harmonicartridge that he's made.
It was awesome.
I showed it to friends and family, and got a lot of laughs and smiles. And when someone asked for one, I knew I had to make it a reality.
We started to talk about numbers - how much can we do this for? How many do we need to make? Will anyone buy this? and in the age of uncertainty - we turned to kickstarter to get it done. After a few months of playing around with different harmonicas, cases and label designs we were almost ready to launch, but we needed one more thing.
A video.
in a few days we wrote a script, gathered friends and made a commercial that, like our product, was a throwback to our childhood.
We've been very luck in getting a lot of support for the product, and a good amount of media attention.
With a little bit of luck, we will be fully funded and make our dream a reality.
