Being a massive fan of The Doors since I was a teenager, it was only a matter of time that I took advantage of my 5 year old son's amazing hair and rock star persona to do a Jim Morrison-inspired photography shoot throughout Los Angeles.
From Venice Beach to The Whisky in Hollywood, we hit up some of the most iconic LA spots in The Doors history.
And thanks to a great friend, we were also given the incredible opportunity to shoot inside Sunset Sound, the world-famous recording studio where The Doors recorded their first two albums. My son sang his little heart out in the very same room The Doors recorded "Light My Fire," "Break On Through (To the Other Side)" and "The End."
Here are some of my favorite images from this series.
