I Took My Passion For Photography Onboard With Me On My Job As A Seaman And Here's The Result

I've been a seaman for almost 18 years, but it wasn't until 2010, when I got my first DSLR that I discovered my passion for photography and, more than that, I discovered my passion and my job go very well together.

Beyond the long months away from home, the relative isolation, the stress, the problems that may appear, a life at sea can be beautiful. I have seen places other people dream of, I've stood in owe in front of Nature's unleashed power and I've marveled at every sunset, every sunrise, every moment the sea has offered me. I tried to the best of my abilities to capture moments, from the frozen seas of Russia, to the incredible colorful sunsets of the tropical seas, and though they're not by best photographic work, they're closest to my heart. We may not all be so lucky as to make a living doing what we love, but if we manage to take what we love doing with us while making a living... well, that's a good life!
