I paint vibrant portraits of animals and people, working from black and white photographs. I never know how a painting will turn out. If I did, I wouldn't want to paint it in the first place!
Using black and white images helps me to focus on the tone of an image and not be distracted by the subjects real colours so I can make up my own.
