Don't we throw away a lot of paper? I don't throw away paper anymore but I keep it to use for making my own individual sketchbooks. Old newspapers or experimental work from my artist studio can be used to create these really useful books that can be used for notes, photographs, recipes, drawings and photographs. When I collect enough paper it takes around 3 hours to make a book and the best thing is your can personalise it by adding beads to the binding process or creating your own textures for the covers. I don't always know how I may use materials in these books until I make them but the surprise of how they look when they are made is the magic.
