I lost my best friend Jaxi 2 days before Christmas 2020. She was rescued from the Thai meat trade. I almost lost my way from grief. On January 2, 2021 I offered to foster the larger pup, Bela, and came home with her and the tiny Shug. In 24 hours I decided to adopt these beauties. They are my medicine. They are sisters thru and thru. Breed? I call Bela a Curly Tailed Retriever and Shug, as the smallest dog I've ever owned, seems to be a Fox Terror mix. Bela or Bae Bae as she likes to be called, loves to sleep with my dustpan. Shug helps me understand the news I read every day. They were both skinny and scared when they came to me . Now they are beauties and learning that the world isn't such a scary place. They were never together before but slept together from Day One in spite of having nice beds of their own. They are home now. For ever.
She can have all my dustpans

Sometimes a curly tail can be a hug

Shug explains the news to me.
