I'm a 38yr old black male, and I fear public speaking AND writing. However, I do love photography and wanted to share images from my first protest.
When I heard my wife, and business partner, was organizing with friends to march on January 21, I immediately knew I wanted to be part of it. I have never protested or marched for anything in my life. This movement spoke to me for a variety of reasons and one being because I now realize I am a budding feminist at heart.
Unlike Friday's protests in DC the Women's March was in peaceful solidarity and though my images don't do full justice to the march they still speak to me and I hope they speak to you.
