I Paint Mermen With Big Butts And Beards

Beards are hot, right? Mermaids have always been cool. People absolutely love big butts, don't they? Hey, people go nuts for the Kardashians.

I'm going to show you what the internet...no, the WORLD, needs more of: Mermen (not mermaids) with BIG BUTTS and BEARDS!

Welcome to the #MermanBooty Revolution.

It started back in April when I wanted to paint one of the mythical creatures I love - a mermaid - but I wanted it to be a little different and I wanted it to evoke a 50's pin-up kind of sexy. Thus the MerMAN with the big booty was formed. It actually became my top post on instagram...Go figure!

Now it's May and that means the wonderful Artist's Challenge of #MerMay where you have to draw a mer-creature for every day in May. PERFECT.

So, May isn't done yet. The plan is to do MORE bootilicious mermen with fantastic beards.

Now that we've riled up the troops, here's a little bit about me: I'm a digital artist living in the UK, finished an art degree last year and...feel like I'm where I am despite of that. ANYWAY, I have always loved fantastical and unusual things and have been fascinated by the nexus between fantasy and reality...Maybe that's why mermaids and the like appeal to me so much?

All in all, I'm excited to paint more MERMEN with BEARDS and BIG BUTTS and I hope you get on board (or...off board? overboard? haha).
