When I visited Ecuador, I was taken aback at how many street dogs I saw everywhere. I saw packs of dogs roaming villages and dogs napping in the middle of the street. They weren't all necessarily mangy looking but no humans, except for a boy I saw playing with a puppy, interacted with the dogs. Except for one dog that growled at me and one dog that was exceptionally friendly, the pooches seemed indifferent to people. They didn't seem super thin so I assume someone feeds them and perhaps they find scraps and garbage too. I was moved by their sheer numbers and had to photograph them. These are just some of the handsome dogs I spied on my travels in Ecuador.
