Google fonts is the web's most used font service. They have been used for over 38 trillion font views(yes, trillion with a T) on the internet and on our phones.
I wanted to see the variation in these different font types and used the 28 most popular fonts which accounted for over 32 Trillion views on the platform.
I overlayed them over each other. The most popular fonts don't look that different, except for the serif slabs that come out, and oswald which is unusually tall, most fonts are quite similar.
