Love makes everything 'PAWS'ible ...
I’m a person who thrives on positive vibes from my surroundings and for the same reason, being exposed to sad and negative stories often leaves me very disturbed and unsettled. As I saw more and more unpleasant stories circulating throughout the internet, my urge to react and create a change, no matter how small, grew with no bounds.
The concept for this video developed from this very thought - to create more inspiring content and stories that can help spread a more positive social environment in the digital space. This is when I accidentally came across a few videos featuring unusual animal friendships which struck a chord within me and got me thinking. If two different species can love and respect one another in spite of their differences, why couldn’t we humans, being the same species and being more intelligent, do the same. It is from this thought that I decided to tell a unique story of a cat and dog duo through a musical. I felt this would be apt since its a common belief that cats and dogs have their fair share of differences and cannot stand the sight of each other.
I have been producing & composing music for over a decade now and I was hoping to collaborate with a couple of my friends, who have experince in video editing and direction, to get this concept to life. Although my friends could not join because of other commitments, I was determined to materialize this project and it eventually led me to not just produce, arrange and sing for the track but also write the script and direct the video. It was extremely challenging as I had to self-learn video editing techniques and softwares from online sources and not to mention it was time consuming. I was lucky to have few friends, as well as some professional guidance to assist with cinematography and editing at certain stages. Apart from all the technical difficulties, the fact that I had no funding from producers or distribution companies made the path all the more challenging. There were times when I thought it would be impossible to get through this but it was my passion and determination combined with the love and support of my family that gave me the confidence and motivation to get this story across to people.
Owing to all the effort that has gone into the making of this project, I really hope this story will help spread some more love, happiness and smiles around.
