My name is Alexandra. I’m a 24-year-old creative person who has ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis) aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I also have Chronic Daily Migraines and suffer from Anxiety. It’s safe to say my plans for becoming the next big thing in the world of Graphic Design were somewhat postponed when I developed these highly frustrating chronic illnesses. Then one day I found the inspiration to create ‘yourachingart’.
Now I can do what I do best, whilst also providing an insight into ME/CFS. I enjoy creating relatable and informative content for people who suffer from ME/CFS and those who are interested in learning more. If my artwork can make even one person smile or if it can make someone understand the condition more, then that’s a job well done. My illustrations provide me with a sense of purpose and make me happy whilst battling against my illness. They give me a chance to express my feelings in an artistic way and demonstrate the wide variety of symptoms that show ME/CFS is not as simple as just ’being tired all the time’.
