I Make Funny Comic Strips Around My Life With My Kids

Parenting is no less than a roller coaster ride (I can actually imagine the parents reading this post nodding knowingly). It's been no less with my 6 and 2 year old adorable little devils. I am not a professional artist or something, but here's what I have tried to do - Grabbed dear little sonny's color pencils and sketches (both he got as return gifts in birthday parties) and attempted to turn my everyday things with the kiddos and the family into comic strips - little struggles and wins, whines and laughs. So, here we go...

One question that haunts most of us is this: Why do our kids throw a tantrum to get up early on weekdays and happily ruin our sleepy bliss on weekends? And on those rare weekends, when by some miracle, you do wake up before them, you may make some 'unforgettable' memories.

We have so many resources these days, resources to lead us to our own doom!!!!

Pani puri is a popular street food in India. Basically, it's small deep fried wheat-based bread made into crunchy cups, in which you add boiled, salted and flavored chick peas and minty water. It comes in two variants - Spicy and medium spice. You need to specify your preference to the guy serving you pani puri beforehand. We, as the comic shows, are fans of 'spice only'.

This comic is based on an iconic Bollywood romantic comedy, Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge or fondly called DDLJ in short. In this movie, after a long painful period of staying away from each other, the love-smitten couple is reunited in the lush green mustard fields of Punjab.

I had to do some domestic stuff in the absence of dear ol’ husband one time. While I had almost zero time, when I did manage to catch a breather and indulge in some self-pity, I had a sort of an epiphany which kicked the butt of any remnant romantic notions I may have had in my almost 10-year old marriage. So I had come up with this Hubsy Missing Scale (shortened it to HMS to make it sound fancy).

Mothers are both extremes. While some of us live in denial, some of us are extra.
And yes, the Mars rover is a TBBT reference.

I usually refrain from adding anything related to the ever-prevailing Corona. But I had to give in and get onto the bandwagon.
