As a maker of small birds, like robins and hummingbirds, I've wanted to make a bird of prey, a raptor for a long time. I finally settled on an Osprey.
I didn't want him to be just sitting on a branch or freestanding like all of my other birds but to be 'in action' and what better way than carrying a fish that he's just caught?
It was going to be the fish that would make him stand, that and the wire in his legs.
What next? I'd love some suggestions :)
