I Made These Abc Flashcards With Love For My 5 Yr. Old Grandson, Who Has Been Struggling With Virtual Learning And Misses Going To School In Person. He Has A Speech Impediment And Some Letters Are Harder For Him To Pronounce, But He's Improving So Much With The Help Of His Mom And His Teachers!

My grandson loved going to school. His teachers used to say "I've never seen anyone so excited about coming to class!". When he had to switch to virtual learning, he loved it at first. But like millions of students going through this, he started to struggle. So I thought about how I could help him. My father used to draw this little stick dog for me and my sisters as kids, and we loved them. His name is "Chancla" and he's a little mutt. I think he's part Chihuahua. I love him because he's just like so many of us. I'm a mixed race American of Japanese and Puerto Rican heritage. Sadly, I couldn't be there to see his reaction when he received the flashcards in the mail (because of Covid), but my daughter told me he was so happy and showed them to all his teachers and classmates. I hope these bring joy to him every day and that they help him with his sounds and letters!
