When I was kid (decades ago), I participated in fancy dress competition. I dressed up as my favorite hero - Superman. As I grew I always wanted to dress up and live the moments from the cinematic universe.
With comic con cosplays, I got a chance to re-live the childhood moments. This was our second cosplay. Imagine suddenly asking a kid to wear something bulky. So, she has to be involved in the process. It took us weeks of journey with my daughter to get ready for the cosplay.
Last year she dressed as Hermione, this time she was Bumblebee. We discussed the concepts of autobots, transformers, and I asked her opinion about costume in terms of color, size and fit.
Result - She was super excited to wear her costume on the Cosplay day. Efforts paid off, and now is the time to start with new project!
