For my wedding day I decided to make my bride-to-be a very personal wedding present. She loves Doctor Who and she loves shoes.... so I wanted it to be something old, new, borrowed and blue – and the only thing I could think of that ticked all the boxes would be…. TARDIS SHOES!
They are old – the Tardis is like 3000+ years old. If not more.
They are new – she doesn’t own a pair already, and as these are original, I doubt anyone else does.
They are borrowed – the Tardis was indeed ‘borrowed’ by the Doctor.
They are blue – coz you know, the Tardis is blue. Seriously, look it up.
So I started by buying a pair of shoes in her size (I got some plain black heels from M&S for about £20) and then I cut up a load of old Doctor Who annuals I found in a charity shop. Then I spent many hours of many a sneaky evening (when she wasn't looking!) with PVA glue and a lot of patience.
