Some times life can be especially rough and we need to go on even feeling broken. I started to work with glass because I wanted to dwell on my own fragility and somehow understand it better and be more confortable with it. I was always aware of things outside me that could show me how to deal with chaos, lost and painful changes. Nature will always be a wonderful teacher and life couldn't be less amazing. It shows resistance and resilience in the most difficult scenarios even being so fragile.
When I realized that the ruin and the death of things can be the start of a new way of life I decided to start this on going project of urban interventions in my city (Bogotá) and extend it to other places I could visit. The idea is to gradually build symbolic images of hope thought the bitterness of our time by putting this little strange crystal flowers (or magic mushrooms) in reminiscences of nature, forgotten spaces, broken places and ruins. Life always find a way to continue.
