Together with my girlfriend, we spent three days on Crete. Our base camp was in beautiful Chania, but all the time we tried to travel across the west side of the island. When I took my first steps on the airport ground I was surprised by the diversity of the landscape. You can find here everything! From beautiful Lagunas and beaches, through narrow canyons to high, snowy mountains! We suggest renting a car and travel across the island, to see as much as you can. It's also the fastest and most comfortable way to get around. We were there just before the high season, so part of Crete's main attractions were still closed. Still, we were amazed by that island!
