I've been fascinated by the story behind people's scars. In my ongoing project, I've been interviewing people about the story behind their scar(s): how it came to be, how they feel about it, what it's come to symbolize, and how it's shaped their current philosophies. Some of the stories are hilarious, painful, insightful, profound, ridiculous, life threatening, educational and everything in between! Along with the interviews, I ask the participant to take a photograph of their scar however they are most comfortable. Currently a podcast called Imprinted Stories, I strive to bring this project to a gallery setting as an installation.
