Vision boards are just one of the 100 ways that I have used to find happiness. It’s been so many little things that I have tried, that have compounded to make a big difference.
I have two vision boards on the go currently. One of them is for longer term goals and I am currently putting one together for shorter term goals and things to look forward to.
Since losing my business, I am losing my home of 7 years and moving into a rental. But I still have plenty of things to look forward to and visual reminders move me into this positive place of focus.
To make a vision board, collect pictures of things that inspire you, goals you want to achieve, perhaps that yoga position you would like to be able to get into or the car you would like to drive. Words are good too. Some of the words on my board are Growth, Health, Wealth, Family, Friends.
You could make your a virtual board on your computer, or Pinterest is a useful tool, especially for inspiring quotes. Personally I prefer a scrapbook, scissors and glue. I find the actions of carefully cutting and sticking a very relaxing and mindful activity.
Vision boards help us to get clear about what we want, and we are more likely to achieve our goals if we are clear about them. The law of attraction means that what we focus on expands, so spend time enjoying the images and really getting in touch with the feelings they conjure. Magic will happen…
