When I started creating those symmetrical collages with my mom and sister, I thought that a fight can be beautiful and unexpected to express such a kind and sensitive relationship between mother and her daughter. I just had the same question in my head “what if my sister and my mom could fight in this imaginative surroundings, a wonderland, having escaped from reality for a moment?” It just happened that I made them surrounded by huge demons and wings of angels, big chimeras from my trips around Europe.
Surreal and real, aggressive and dreamy, sleepy and powerful, fantastic plants and hybrid beasts, fighting and hiding, angels and chimeras. I just had to incorporate ringing bells to help you wake up from this dream (or nightmare). And you can see those bells almost in every corner. They are ringing...
