I made this artwork using pen and ink and colour pencils.

It is on 22"x 22"mat board, and is a commissioned piece.

It took me 52 hours to make.

The inspiration behind this artwork is something I have called synesthesia. Synesthesia is a perceptual phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. In other words, when I listen to music or hear someone sing or talk, I can see it. I see colours and images when listening to music , and shapes, patterns, and images when I hear words. I draw what I see when listening to the music and hearing the words. That's where all of the images and colours in this artwork come from.
