I'm an illustrator based in Hamburg, Germany.
For this children's book I used a special technique to incorporate structures from leaves, linen and various other objects with interesting patterns.
I drew with colored pencils on very thin black paper so the structures I placed under the illustration rubbed through!
I love to explore unique techniques like this to give my illustrations a distinctive touch and to find the right mood for each story.
