Maybe I have led a sheltered life but I hadn't come across the name 'beanie' until I started designing for clothing and came across them. A beanie is a head hugging hat without a brim or visor - the name 'beanie' is well known in the USA and Canada but I hadn't come across it in the UK or Italy (where I now live). I had seen lots of people wearing them, I just didn't know they were called beanies!
Now I have a beanie for each of my clothing collections as you can see from the pictures. I am just completing another design that will be added shortly - Cosmic Journey!
