I Created A Kanye Song Using Ai

Do you remember these good old Kanye Songs? The College Dropout, Graduation?

Yeah, I miss those times too. But hey! There‘s this new Kanye song! Just like in the old days! But.

This one is not quite what it seems to be...

As a Content Creator, I always look for creative projects for my youtube channel.

Everything started when I found this AI-voice-generator (uberduck.ai). You can generate Kanye, Biggie, Eminem, Jay-Zs voice and many more. First I was just playing around with it, generated some Eminem vocals while playing the slim shady instrumental in the back. I thought «that sounded kinda dope!» and it got me thinking... what is possible with this? Why not generate a whole song with this tool?

I decided that it was time for a new, old Kanye song. Because he just broke up with Kim, I knew the time was right for a breakup song. «You shouldn‘t surpress your feelings Kanye! You should make a hit single and get paid for the pain!». So I channeled my inner Kanye and wrote the lyrics, just as he would. A lot of overconfident statements, a little irony, and some anger about the past relationship with Kim.

Then, I went into logic and started to produce a chill, lofi-type beat. After a few tests with his voice, I made the arrangement and was fascinated how good it sounded. Unfortunately I had to generate sentence by sentence, because when I tried to generate a whole section, the tool couldn‘t handle it and was just like: «I‘m chnyanghcha ljhfakcch chjknachc....». But hey! I love a good challenge! I generated around 200 audio files, which I put together over the beat, pitch corrected the vocals in the chorus and the next billboard hit was born. To finish it up, I animated a lyrics video in after effects with an illustrated AI Kanye.

One of my friends was like «I‘m gonna play this in my car and sell it to my boyfriend as if it was a real Kanye song». This was the biggest compliment for me.
