My favorite place in the house is the garden. In that little piece of soil, I've seen life coming and going through the years. There, biodiversity is so rich and full that almost explodes. It's not unusual for my neighbors to see a 24-year-old sitting or laying in the grass, observing something invisible for a good amount of time! (I'm thinking about that day I saw a wasp chilling on a plant, eating a caterpillar... what!?) Birds, bugs, and even plants can be very surprising and fascinating if we just stop there and watch them. The problem is, we don't.
On the other side, growing up, cameras were more and more in my hand. Shooting here and there, this and that, looking for hidden beauty and actions, that in this modern world are too often ignored or forgotten. Many times I found myself running across the house, to grab the camera as fast as I could, and try to catch that instant in a photo (spoiler: many times I found I was too late).
Then, I realized how important would be to share the beauty of our world, even if a tiny bit, so my mind saying: "Why not?" led me to this post.
Here there's a little selection of those photos, (some of them are a bit old and not too "aesthetic") that I want to share with you all, as a little reminder to slow down, breathe, and appreciate the wonders all around us.
