Marco Grassi, born in 1987, is a painter living and working in Italy. He was exposed to old master paintings and Chinese pottery from a young age because his grandfather collected them. Even though he was always fascinated by art, he decided to pursue it as a career while he was at university.
Grassi often paints people during times of change. He uses the bodies of his characters to represent different ideas, especially the connection between humans and nature. He focuses on how people transform, sometimes turning into non-living things, showing how nature affects them, and how they keep going despite it all.
