Inspiration for my cartoons comes from everywhere and anywhere, sometimes from real life, and sometimes just from my imagination. One time, I dreamed a cartoon, which I thought was hilarious in my dream...but when I woke up, it made no sense at all.

It can be challenging to come up with something funny. If I think a cartoon idea is funny, then I will go with it. Humor is so subjective. Trying to please everyone, is impossible.
The part I enjoy the most is the actual drawing, coloring, and adding effects. It's playtime... It allows me to be 10 years old again.

It sounds corny, but if my cartoon brings a smile to the reader's face, mission accomplished. If my work results in a chuckle, even better. And if the reader rocks back and cackles, home run!

I draw every day. I love to draw, even if it's a doodle. Many of my doodles ultimately become finished cartoons. So, if you have dreams of becoming a comic artist, my advice would be to draw and draw often.
I would also advise an aspiring cartoonist to develop a thick skin. In this industry, we are told "NO!" a lot. So persevere. Keep drawing, keep creating, keep going. Don't give up!
