How Visual Design Can Help In The Time Of The Coronavirus.

What can design do in this crisis’ time and collective phobia? How to win the fear that makes us selfish and irresponsible?

These are the questions that have asked me in recent weeks and that have led me to look at generating a graphic conceptual work.

It is now clear that COVID-19 known by everyone as Coronavirus, the name of the virus genus, is changing our lives, the perception of the global world and the Other.

The ignorant propaganda of Fear, oriented towards easy consensus, has recently played a fundamental role. When the epidemic broke out, the media machine generated a national chaos without dictating an univocal way. The pressure of the average Italian has rapidly transformed from being the Bel Paese to the infected country to be isolated.The map was the natural way to tell about this perceptual change between us and the other. In a thriving and irresponsible Italy, Coronavirus advances, infects us and excludes us from the rest of the world.
