Constantin Ciortan and Victor Valcov have been great friends for over 15 years. They grew up in a small town in Moldova, and as they grew up, so did their passion for saving the planet. They wanted to come up with something that would reduce the amount of waste in the ocean but be useful to the people as well. Their „lightbulb“ moment happened when Constantin ended up in a hospital after having a severe allergic reaction to one of the ingredients of his shaving foam. That made him decide to start reading the labels and learn more about the ingredients of products we apply to our skin.
He realized that the current shaving process is exactly the same as it was more than 60 years ago, when we started using shaving foam, and very similar to the one used a thousand years ago when people used to shave with blades and other sharp objects.
“Every year we hear about a “new” company trying to “revolutionize” the shaving industry, but the harsh reality is that (besides bringing a bit less expensive product or a much more expensive one) no one offers anything new”, said Constantin. “Shaving foams, gels, and creams are such a huge business, that no one even dares to think about coming up with a product that would eliminate the need for them.”

Constantin and Victor decided to prove it is possible to turn shaving into a healthy and zero-waste process. They got to work and created “Aqua Jet Razor”, the first razor in the world which completely relies on the power of water.
It uses a water jet instead of a shaving foam and it can be attached to any shower thanks to the shower connector that is included in each order. As the water passes through the blades, it leaves the skin smooth and hydrated, and the razor clean.
