I didn't know I had crafting in me. I've loved being creative for a long time, but my creativity was mostly about writing. Writing is a personal activity and it can be amazingly cheap (seriously, what do you need for writing just as a hobby?).
Recently, I discovered I wanted to explore more handy activities. Painting? Sewing? What about something that had a bit of each?
So, I started surfing Pinterest and I saw that I was not alone. You can get creative at any point of your life, and it's ok to be a newbie. It's ok to feel a bit insecure when you start using your hands to create small and step by step, more complex objects just with your hands.
Using a glue gun, planning your DIY projects, it's all a process and it's all right to take your time and take advantage of it being just a hobby.
For me the best advice for start crafting is to choose a simple activity (I chose ribbons) and then, advance step by step.
Another cool tip? Surf the web! We're lucky to live a time of endless information and lots of tutorials, blogs and places to get info. You will surely find your own cup of tea.
An example? Just a small ribbon bow that can be the beginning of a huge list of projects and ideas.
