Peter Gate proposes an ambitious project, to transform the laser light in the first phase into a signal, then into sound and finally into music! Our supporting partners in this project are Yamaha Music Europe and Qolony Art & Science Association.
The Laser Trip is an innovative music and space experimentation project made in collaboration with the National Institute for Laser, Plasma and Radiation Physics, Romania and truly proud to have with us as our scientific adviser, Mr. Mark McCaughrean, senior scientific advisor from the European Space Agency.
Beside that being an audio visual experience the music animation video that will be broadcasted on the 19-th of February will be centered around the strange behavior of sound and light in space. This musical animation it’s an aesthetic perspective at the borderline of art and science realized by Kay Starseeker, animation artist. Also the short animation will feature an 8D sound technology for an enhanced sonic experience.
Founder of The Deep Sound of Space, Peter Gate, is an award-winning experimental musician, visual artist, and anthropologist. He’s been involved in innovative interdisciplinary projects, from reimagining ancient acoustics (The Deep Sound of Maramures, 2015) to 4D Immersive sound&visual concerts.
