as we have seen a dog is bigger than a cat but in reality, we see a dog doesn't want to mess with a cat why.

In my experience, the dog is too nice to be mean to the cat, as it is smaller and the dog views it as something it should protect. In reality, a lot of cats (not all) will really mean to said dog, but the dog is nice to the cat still for some reason. That is my logic on the situation anyways.
