I infuse waste denim with resin and press the wet layers together until they dry. I then handcraft this material (like Micarta) into sunglasses with brass details. It takes 2 weeks. I’ve made hundreds of prototypes over 8 years to learn how to do it
I use jeans that are unfit for resale as well as redundant denim stock from clothing companies. Then, through a 2 week handcrafted process, the fabric is transformed into extraordinary, upcycled sunglasses. The whole process is carried out in Cornwall, England. This way we can ensure the quality meets our high standards.
I fit the sunglasses with brass details, springs and steel reinforcements. We use polarized Zeiss lenses, however prescription lenses can be fitted.
There are 5 styles in black or blue denim.
I've started a company called Mosevic which is currently on Kickstarter - www.mosevic.com/kickstarter
